The vendor is required to provide armed security guard services for our campus.
- The number of armed security will be:
• One armed security officer during the hours of 7am – 3pm, Monday through Friday
• Two armed security officers during the hours of 3pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday
• Two armed security officers during the hours of 11pm to 7am, Monday through Friday
• Weekends 2 armed officers to during the hours 11pm Friday to 7am Monday
(Note- shift 1- 7:00am-3:00pm; shift 2- 3:00pm-11:00pm; shift 3-11:00pm-7:00am)
- Monday- Friday from 7:30am- 4:00pm excluding state holidays and official closings are the regular operating hours of the agency.
• The security guard shall periodically patrol the buildings and adjoining premises located on highway 81.
• The security guard shall provide an electronic accountability system.
• The security guard shall maintain a daily, electronic logbook to record incidents, daily activity reports and inbound/outbound truck that may occur during his duty period.
• The security guard shall monitor the security closed circuit and alarm systems for the building and adjoining premises.
• Access will be granted for these services and coordinated with the agency’s school resource officer or designated security personnel.
• The security guard shall turn on and/or off the security alarms according to the posted schedule.
• The security guard shall ensure that all visitors are provided a visitor’s pass before proceeding onto the campus and collect upon exit.
• General public visitors must be scanned (conducted by the security guard) before entering the campus.
• The security guard shall assist in monitoring parking lot to ensure any unauthorized vehicles are identified.
• Agency staff have parking passes visible on dashboard of their vehicles.
• Findings of any unauthorized vehicle must be reported to the president of the agency or authorized personnel.
• The security guard shall notify designated agency staff to sign for deliveries.
• The security guard shall escort employees to their vehicle when requested, should an incident arise.
• The security guard shall perform any other duties deemed necessary by agency to maintain safety and security.
• The security guard must promptly report to the agency designated individual(s) and shall also alert 911 of any fires, thefts, attempted thefts, damage or destruction of property, sabotage or attempted sabotage, riots, acts or attempted acts of violence, circumstances causing suspicion of intended thefts or damage to property.
• The security guard shall report all other matters relating to the safety of the protected property as discovered by the contractor.
• The security guard will make written reports, with respect thereto, and submit to the designated agency management no later than close of business on the day the issue was discovered.
• The security guard will also be required to submit the report information into the electronic log system.
• The security guard shall ensure a professional, reliable and efficient effort to prevent loss of property, or harm to personnel, by monitoring for fire, theft, vandalism, or unauthorized persons who conduct themselves in an unsafe or unruly manner, against employees, and visitors, or security and safety hazards.
• The security guard shall be notified within a 24-hour request, meet with agency for the purpose of discussing any problems.
• The security guard shall be responsible for any and all initial pre-assignment training and trainer personnel costs in the event of current security guard(s) replacement within the contract period with no interruption of service to agency.
• The security guard, upon discovery of persons attempting to gain unauthorized access to the property or secured areas, must detain the person(s), contact the local police and notify the agency representative.
