RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide armed security services, primarily on the transit campus.
- Provide professional, uniformed armed guard services to protect transit staff, customers, and property, and to minimize opportunities for occurrence of criminal activities on transit property.
- Monitoring, deterring, and detecting crime;
- Providing prevention or detection of intrusion, unauthorized entry or activity; vandalism, or trespass on transit property;
- Preventing and/or detecting theft, loss, fire, and safety hazards;
- Detecting misappropriation or concealment of merchandise, tools and equipment, or other valuable items or documents;
- Submitting daily activity reports logging incidents, observations, patrols, and other pertinent information (contractor must provide a sample template of such document with the solicitation response);
- Providing control and regulation of direction or flow of movements of the public and individuals, whether by vehicle or otherwise, to assure the protection of property; and,
- Protecting individuals from bodily harm by proper enforcement rules, regulations, and policies related to crime reduction.
- This communication shall identify the assigned guards per site, per shift, and shall include the phone numbers for their company-provided cellular phones.
- Medical Emergencies
• If an emergency is discovered or reported to the guard, the guard shall stay with the victim and render first aid as training and experience allows.
• The guard shall call 911 as quickly as possible and then contact transit project manager to report the situation.
• If the person is hurt but does not appear to have life-threatening injuries, ask the person if they would like 911 called.
• After calling medical services, contact transit project manager to report the situation.
- Security guard supervisors and/or the transit senior analysts contact the security guards on-site.
- Security guards immediately disengage from present activities according to best judgment.
- The ceiling- or wall-mounted device uses multiple sensors to capture real-time information about environmental conditions.
- Environmental condition data is transmitted to a cloud-based centralized management system, which allows for data visualization and trend analysis.
- Users can receive real-time sensor-specific notifications when readings exceed user defined thresholds.
- Even during an alert, the device continues to record environmental data for all sensors and parameters.
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
