The Vendor is required to provide for in-person American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter(s) to assist an employee with day-to-day activities and job-required training on an as-needed basis.
- All interpreters working under this contract must adhere to standards of confidential communication for all ASL services performed under this contract.
- All interpreters working under this contract must possess and maintain the professional skills and knowledge required for each specific interpreting situation.
- All interpreters working under this contract must conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to the specific interpreting situation in which the interpreter is working.
- All interpreters working under this contract must maintain ethical business practices which include competency, reliability, and honesty.
- All interpreters must follow a business casual dress code.
- The interpreter is expected to perform in-person ASL interpretation services for meetings or training; there are two levels of required service:
• Service for meetings with a minimum of two hours (may be more or less time depending on the length of meeting)
• Service for training, extending meetings, and other work-related events that are scheduled for longer than two hours.
- Work hours will be between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm with a half-hour lunch break for services over 5 hours. It is anticipated that an interpreter will be used on an as-needed basis with a minimum of two hours per request.
