The Vendor is required to provide brokerage services and acts as consultant of record for the county board under the direction of the county department in order to obtain and maintain insurance coverage with qualified carriers to provide the most beneficial options to the employees using a cost-effective approach to managing the county’s employee benefits.
- Acts in an advisory capacity regarding current laws relating to all benefit programs.
- Assists in providing the best option for the county to pursue in regard to plan design, funding, and other possible benefits options.
- Provides assistance to the department throughout the year by providing analysis of data and evaluations of programs in order to minimize cost and ensure compliance for the county with regards to benefits and the clinic.
- Provides assistance to the department throughout the year with underwriting to procure benefits, communication and training for employees, compliance with federal and state law, and coordination of wellness programs while managing overall risk within the portfolio of benefits.
