The Vendor is required to provide benefit brokerage and consulting services to schools employee health and welfare programs.
- Services to be provided
• Analyze, advice, negotiate and place insurance contracts
• Issue requests of proposals for benefit plans and facilitate selection process along with schools procurement group
• Review the entire benefit package for quality, cost effectiveness and competitiveness on an annual basis
• Escalate claims assistance and resolution
• Analyze claims history and insurance utilization on a quarterly basis and provide data upon request
• Estimate the funding needed for self-insured plans annually
• Attend and participate in benefit committee meetings approximately 3-5 times per year
• Meet regularly with benefits team members to support team needs
• Advise and notify the district of federal, state, and local regulation a law updates
• Assure compliance, communication and administrative support
• Audit documents such as vendor contracts, evidence of insurance and summary of benefits for accuracy of coverage, terms and conditions
• Act as a liaison and advocate for the district in resolving vendor issues
• Support open enrollment activities as requested.
