The vendor is required to provide comprehensive coverage for unlimited incidents per device including, but not limited to, 1) standard coverage, 2) accidental coverage, 3) mechanical breakdown and 4) perils.
- All damage, regardless of source, shall be covered.
- For the sake of clarity, some examples of causes of such covered damages which shall obligate the successful bidder to provide prompt responsible, technical, and professional processing and repairs of claims for unlimited incidents on covered equipment – including:
• Drops
• Cracked or scratched screens
• Shattered touch screens
• Touch sense malfunction
• Broken display screen
• Broken speakers or mic
• Battery Failure
• Power on failure
• Damage to outer casing
• Charging port malfunction
• Liquid spills or damage
• Missing or Jammed Keys
• Vandalism
• Malicious Mischief
• Liquid Submersion
• Manufacturer Defect
• Mechanical Failure
• Power Surge
• Accidental or other discharge of water or steam,
• Sudden or other cracking of a steam or hot water heating system
• Fire damage
• Smoke
• Flood Damage
• Freezing
• Natural Disasters
• Lighting
• Windstorm or hail
• Internal or external explosion
• Riot or civil commotion
• Aircraft or vehicles
• Volcanic eruption
• Falling objects
• Weight of ice, snow or sleet
• The service contract will specifically include, but not be limited to, unlimited claims service and repair of damage resulting from any such perils.
- Resultant Action: Replacement of components and/or new Chromebook within two weeks from the time of the incident.
