The vendor is required to provide that classification and compensation study service a full range of municipal services including police, fire, public works, engineering, water and wastewater utilities, building inspections, community development, parks and recreation, senior center, library, finance, clerk, and administration.
- Conduct project information meetings with employees to explain scope and methodology of the study. conduct interviews with employees and management personnel as appropriate. conduct progress review meetings with the village administrator, assistant village administrator, generalist, and finance and personnel committee at determined intervals.
- Existing job descriptions for all positions to ensure compliance and accuracy with exemption status.
- Job descriptions are in full compliance with all federal, state, and local statutes and regulations, including and the with disabilities act.
- Appropriate benchmarking standards and conduct salary surveys for all positions with comparable municipalities within the southeastern metro geographical area.
- Review existing compensation and classification structure and policies to determine what revisions are recommended, necessary, or required to ensure sustainable market competitiveness
- The quality and cost of the village’s benefit plans and make recommendations for changes that integrate into the total compensation package
- An implementation plan that meets the needs of the village in fairness, internal equity, and sustainable market competitiveness.
- One draft and one final report for review with village staff and present to finance and personnel committee and village board for approval.
