The vendor is required to provide mental health counseling services at school sites by licensed clinical social workers, social workers and psychologists.

- The district desires to enter into a contract with a qualified and experienced business entity to provide the following:
• Mental health counseling services to identified students on site at four (4) board school sites that the board identifies.
• All services will be conducted under all state and federal guidelines and regulations.
• Services will be provided by 4.0 FTE master’s level licensed clinician at each named site, and 1.0 FTE clinical program supervisor that will service all four sites.
• Services include conducting a variety of assessment, therapeutic and psycho educational services such as, crisis intervention, mental health counseling, inclusive of individual, group and family counseling, and information/referral/linkage to other levels of care and to other community-based support services.
• Prevention and intervention services that are comprehensive, multifaceted, and build on the strengths of young people and assist them in achieving their educational and life goals.
• Violence prevention services that provide effective approaches to reducing violent behavior, balance security and discipline with positive supports, skill building, parent and community involvement, and a positive school environment.
• Classroom presentations for students on various topics related to mental health and wellness.
• Faculty education and training.
- Student population
• The students in the four middle schools: academy 1, MS #4, MS #7, MS #40 and the students at the elementary schools that are in the encashment area of each middle school that are identified and referred by school faculty as requiring a higher level of intervention within the school setting.
• The district desires to enter into a contract with a qualified and experienced business entity to provide mental health counseling and support services to address the emotional and physical development issues that can impede the students’ good health, academic success and ability to maintain healthy relationships.
- Description of program services
• Tailored to district and staff needs and existing MTSS (multi-tiered system of supports)
• Collaboration between vendor and the board to obtain consents as necessary and identify students for services.
• Clinicians will work at one of the school sites in a room that will allow for privacy as per HIPAA regulatory standards.
• Communication with vendor and families regarding students will remain strictly confidential as to comply with federal and state laws and regulations regarding confidentiality of medical records.
