The vendor is required to provide third-party administrators (TPAs) to administer requests to utilize the family and medical leave act (FMLA) as well as the Americans with disabilities act (ADA), as amended, ensuring compliance, on behalf of the city.
• Administers FMLA and reasonable accommodation requests, including determining eligibility (in conjunction with HR), handling notification requirements, certification procedures, and leave tracking in accordance with the FMLA, ADA and applicable city policies
• Collaborates with HR to determine employee eligibility, reasonableness of accommodation requests, return-to-work parameters, and other necessary information
• Provides guidance for the HR office and city employees
• Ensures compliance with applicable regulations including the city of FMLA policy
• Provides data and statistics to HR on a quarterly basis, or as otherwise requested
• Alleviates workload for HR administration team
