The vendor is required to provide that fire extinguisher systems for include:
- Fire extinguisher inspections
• The district consists of 11 comprehensive high schools, 7 alternative education sites and 3 district sites.
• There are approximately 2,500 fire extinguishers located at various district sites
- Fire riser inspections
• The district consists of 11 comprehensive high schools, 7 alternative education sites and 3 district sites.
• There are one hundred and twenty-five (125) fire riser systems located at the various district sites
• This is to include flow switch maintenance, control valve exercising and replacing any static and/or residual pressure gauges to remain in compliance
- Kitchen range hood suppression systems inspections
• The district consists of 11 comprehensive high schools, 7 alternative education sites and 3 district sites
• There are 41 kitchen range hood suppression systems, and 2 paint booth suppression systems located at various district sites.
• The system breakdown is - total of 74 cylinders and 198 fusible links
a. 3 - range guard / Kidde 2.56 KS systems
b. 34 -Ansul r102 systems
c. 3 - Pyrochem PCL 300 systems
d. 1 - Pyrochem PCL 460 system
e. 1- Pyrochem PCL 600 system
f. 1- Amerex is-45 dry chemical – 45 lb. ABC
g. 1- Pyrochem monarch l101-dry chemical – 70 lb. ABC & 17 lb. ABC
• These systems should be inspected every six months.
• All inspections should be scheduled for July (during summer session) and January (during non-instruction times) of each year and will be completed prior to June 30th
- Kitchen range hood cleanings
• The district consists of 11 comprehensive high schools, 7 alternative education sites and 3 district sites
• There are 41 kitchen range hood systems located at the various district sites.
• Cleaning services shall be in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as industry standards
• This will be determined by the alarms department after the semi-annual inspections are completed and hoods that require cleaning will be scheduled.
• All cleanings shall be performed after 3:30pm on weekdays; or early Saturday mornings, or over the district’s October and fall break.
- Fire hydrant inspections
• The district consists of 11 comprehensive high schools, 7 alternative education sites and 3 district sites
• There are 79 fire hydrants located at various sites throughout the district.
• The inspection must be following compliance with NFPA 25, all federal, state, and local regulations as well as industry standards
- Clean agent inspections
• The district consists of 11 comprehensive high schools, 7 alternative education sites and 3 district sites.
• There are 3 clean agent suppression systems located at two locations throughout the district.
• The inspection must be following compliance with NFPA 2001, and all federal, state, and local regulations as well as industry standards
- Contract Period/Term: 1 year
