The Vendor is required to provide a 48-hour crisis hotline for police to call after making a domestic violence related police report during Friday, Saturday and Sunday shifts.
- The police will connect with a live domestic abuse advocate and give a warm hand off to the victim on-scene.
- The advocate will offer information, support, and services including but not limited to: safety planning, resources for shelters, reasons to get an order for protection and how to obtain one, resources for children, and other appropriate emergency services as appropriate.
- The advocate will also provide appropriate notifications to other city partners as needed.
- Program has engaged or connected with the criminal justice system or criminal justice partners in the last 2 years.
- Protocol for persons staffing the hotline in responding to police calls and calling victims back after police calls;
- Your ability to follow up and/or notify other domestic violence partners of relevant information regarding the victims’ needs.
- Staff hours per week your program can dedicate to the following areas:
• Staffing a 48-hour hotline over the weekend;
• Follow up support and services for victims;
• Reporting to key stakeholders of project statistics, monthly usage reports; and,
• Collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Training program for those staffing the hotline both prior to working on the hotline and for continuing education or training while working on the hotline.
