RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide community-based behavioral health and intellectual/developmental disabilities services in county.
- Mental health services administration (“SAMHSA”) mental health awareness training (“MHAT”) grant in order to provide mental health first aid (“MHFA”), counseling on access to lethal means (“calm”), the Columbia-suicide severity rating scale (“C-SSRS”), and safety planning intervention (“SPI”) trainings to veterans, armed service personnel, their families and caregivers, and their service providers throughout county.
- The hired instructor must have qualifications and complete duties including, but not necessarily limited to, the following:
• Be certified in the national council for behavioral health’s MHFA instructor training as an adult MHFA instructor;
• Be certified as a calm instructor;
• Have successfully completed training on the utilization of the C-SSRS;
• Conduct extensive community outreach in county for purposes of educating the community (including but not necessarily limited to: veterans, armed service personnel and their families, caregivers, and service providers) on MHFA and other trainings including calm, C-SSRS, and SPI, and encouraging community members to receive MHFA training (“community outreach”).
• Schedule MHFA trainings in county, subject to mutual agreement between successful bidder and integral care regarding the date, time and location of each such training (each, a “scheduled training”);
• Instruct no less than two (2) scheduled trainings per month in coordination with integral care’s designated staff including, but not necessarily limited to, integral care’s MHFA instructor;
• Attend integral care’s scheduled MHFA trainings in county; and
• Provide to integral care upon request information related to community outreach, scheduled trainings, attendees at scheduled trainings, and any other pertinent information needed to fulfill the requirements under the grant.
• Successful bidder shall notify integral care of each community outreach no later than two (2) business days after it is conducted, and shall notify integral care in writing of the potential date and time of each scheduled training no later than one (1) business day after the potential date and time is known to successful bidder.
