The vendor is required to provide that mental health referral services care coordination program for students, staff, and families in need of mental health or substance use treatment providers.
- Provide insurance navigation of all private health maintenance organization (HMO) and preferred provider organization (PPO) insurance plans and sliding scale, low-fee, or free services for families without insurance.
- Provide support to students, staff, and families in need accessing mental health services through public insurance processes.
- A health insurance portability and accountability act (HIPAA) and family educational rights and privacy act (FERPA)-compliant parent release form and an interagency memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the school district, the provider, and the care coordinator.
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility based on the individual's insurance plan and specific requirements.
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding education, privacy, technology, and data protection.
- The contractor shall facilitate referrals to providers for therapy and advanced care pathways including:
• Outpatient and intensive outpatient
• Substance use treatment centers
• Psychiatry
• Residential care
• Inpatient services
