The Vendor is required to provide to obtain services from a qualified firm for on-site cancer screenings and ultrasound cardiovascular screenings to the approximately 475 firefighters with the city.
- Provide a comprehensive team of physicians, technicians and equipment to perform and complete all required screenings.
- All screenings shall take place on site within the city, at locations to be determined, or in the offeror’s mobile medical unit, on site within the city, at locations agreed upon by both parties.
- Must have the capability to offer multiple days for screenings to accommodate personnel rotating work schedules.
- Cancer and cardiovascular screenings- the successful offeror shall provide ultrasound imaging to include, at a minimum:
• Carotid Doppler
• Abdominal aortic aneurysm AAA
• Echocardiogram (valve function, heart pumping ejection fraction)
• Thyroid
• Abdominal - liver, gall bladder, kidneys, and spleen
• Bladder ultrasound
• Testicular - men
• Pelvic – women
- Forward copies of any abnormal results along with patient instructions regarding primary care follow-up (as appropriate) to individuals who were instructed to seek medical follow-up to address any medical conditions, or lab abnormalities, identified during the medical evaluation.
- Provide a medical practitioner (medical doctor; nurse practitioner) for positive test result consultation and recommend referrals as necessary.
- Provide services for both cancer and cardiovascular screening.
- Provide onsite services, including all services required in the agreement.
- Provided during normal business hours which are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday except on the following holidays: new year's day, martin luther king, jr. day, president's day, memorial day, juneteenth, independence day, labor day, veteran's day, thanksgiving, day after thanksgiving, Christmas eve & christmas day.
