The vendor is required to provide organizational development consulting services for that on an as-needed basis in the following categories:
Category A: Organizational Change Management
Category B: Executive Coaching
Category C: Customized curriculum creation & Learning facilitation
Category D: Restorative consulting services – including trauma informed services, psychological safety, and healing centered practices.
- Include elements such as refining project objectives or tasks, finalizing the schedule, identifying deliverables and milestones, identifying and developing follow-up tasks, and developing methods for evaluating the success of the services rendered and the project.
- Assessments are facilitated to evaluate the existing environment, practices, operations, systems, programs, policies, and processes for opportunities to improve the culture for the health and well-being of employees and overall service delivery. We ask external consultants to work with any existing internal assessments or to conduct assessments. Consultants will use assessments to make recommendations and/or co-create a plan for cultural and system improvements.
- Consultant services for this area may include but is not limited to:
• Design processes and prioritize working with equity, inclusion, belonging, and wellbeing considerations and approaches.
• Review any existing data, including engagement surveys.
• Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
• Design data collection instruments.
• Conduct surveys, interviews, focus groups, and listening sessions.
• Present findings, develop reports, and disseminate information.
• Co-create organizational development intervention plans.
• Conduct needs analyses and gap assessments
- Change Management
• Change Management encompasses consulting services to facilitate lasting transformation for individuals and organizations. Individual change management involves understanding humans' innate psychological and physiological responses when confronted with a change period
• Change management entails crafting customized plans for our workforce at the section, division, or department level. These plans ensure that impacted employees have opportunities for input, heightened awareness, coaching, necessary training, and effective leadership to navigate successful transitions. Our focus remains on empowering individuals during these pivotal changes.
• Consultant service list may include but is not limited to:
o Design processes and work with equity, inclusion, and well-being considerations and approaches.
o Perform change readiness assessment.
o Craft a change management plan, including a change process.
o Co-facilitate the change process.
- Executive Coaching and Mentoring
• Executive Coaching is an inquiry-based approach to personal and professional development aimed at enhancing performance by creating awareness, generating action, and facilitating individual insights and growth. A primary goal of coaching is to improve leadership performance by helping the individual increase self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and capacity to influence others in ways that align with county
• Learning and development is a systematic process to enhance an employee’s skills, knowledge, and competency, resulting in better performance in a work setting. Specifically, learning is concerned with the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Development is the broadening and deepening of knowledge in line with one’s development goals. Learning, training, workshops, and development are often used interchangeably in our workforce. Consultants may be asked to review and collaborate with King County Training resources
• Consultant services also include:
o Utilize equity, inclusion, belonging, race, and well-being approaches.
o Plan, develop, and execute in-person and/or remote training for teams, divisions, or departments.
o Facilitate training breakout sessions and small group sessions related to training as needed.
o Curate training videos (where appropriate)
oDevelop training manuals and/or outlines, toolkits/workbooks, and handouts to accompany the training.
o Conduct pre-post training surveys as needed.
¬- Restorative Consulting Services
• Restorative practices, rooted in and inherent in Indigenous communities, are an effective way of repairing and strengthening relationships among individuals, teams, and communities. Such practices foster and enhance communication and mutual understanding, resulting in a more positive workplace culture. Such interventions create space for all voices, centering on equity, inclusion, and well-being principles. Restorative practices require designing and holding the work in trauma-informed ways that take into account components for psychological safety. Besides helping to repair the harm caused by wrongdoing, mistakes, racial harm, and conflict, an unexpected result of restorative business practices has proved to be an enhanced sense of community. In addition to employee retention, increased social bonds, and improved relationships, restorative practices contribute to creating a dynamic and adaptable organizational culture, is essential in today’s knowledge-driven economy.

o Utilize equity, inclusion, belonging, race, and well-being approaches.
o Plan, develop, and then execute in-person and/or remote sessions for teams, divisions, or departments.
o Facilitating breakout sessions and small group sessions related to the restorative practice.
oDevelop materials, outlines, or handouts to accompany the session as needed.
o Conduct pre-post satisfaction surveys as needed.
