The Vendor is required to provide consultation services provided by an executive search firm with knowledge of local government, specifically the city council format, and demonstrated experience in conducting city manager recruitment services.
- Provide for a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, transportation, healthcare, banking, professional services, and retail.
- Services include:
• Candidate profile development: develop a comprehensive candidate profile in collaboration with the city.
• Candidate recruitment: proactively identify and recruit qualified candidates through a variety of sourcing methods.
• Application review: thoroughly review candidate application materials (resumes, cover letters, etc.).
• Candidate follow-up: communicate ongoing needs, requests for additional information and process status to applicants in a timely manner. .
• Candidate screening: conduct initial screening of candidates to assess their qualifications and fit.
• Interview and selection process management: administer and facilitate the interview and selection process, including scheduling, logistics, formalized assessment and candidate communication.
• Compensation negotiation assistance: assist the city in negotiating a competitive and equitable compensation package with the selected candidate.
• Logistics and communication management: coordinate all candidate correspondence, travel arrangements, and maintain accurate records throughout the search process.
• Reference checks: conduct thorough professional reference checks on recommended finalist candidates.
- Office current staff level of full-time employees includes two assistant city managers, 13 department directors, and 1,497 total employees, 1,200 of whom are regular employees and the remainder of whom are temporary seasonal employees.
