- The solution should include software, related in-vehicle technology, implementation services, and support.
- The software as a solution (SaaS) will include multiple steps for a successful implementation.
- These steps include planning, configuration, marketing & communication, implementation, training and ongoing stakeholder support.
- The ideal solution will have an ability to integrate with our fare collection system cubic. - This will be the first implementation of the on request software with the expectation that the new software will go live in the first half of 2026.
¬- There are 35 buses in the paratransit fleet with 29 buses used in peak service.
- The on request software will allow customers to schedule their own trips via an app or computer in addition to the call center, automate the paratransit registration process, allow customers to see their bus arrive in real-time and will manage a trip booking waitlist for trips that cannot be scheduled initially;
- Converting fixed route transit service in the industrial and northwest areas of transit to on request as recommended by the transit.
- The solution must have the ability to provide bus stop to bus stop, curb to curb, curb to hub, virtual stops and door to door service for those with disabilities within the designated service areas.
- Delivering a booking and scheduling solution for accessible taxicabs.
- Approximately 18 taxicabs will be outfitted with the technology.
- As these vehicles are not dedicated to accessible taxi trips, a per trip cost or per service hour cost is required.
- Each accessible taxi will be running a separate software system for non-accessible trips through their broker.
- The on request software will provide a cost-effective, accessible, integrated and flexible on request service to complement existing fixed-route services.
- Integration with other customer facing apps through an open API will provide the ability to create a seamless trip plan between fixed route and on request trips.
- The software must also have the option of booking, scheduling, and prioritizing paratransit and wheelchair accessible taxi trips.
