The vendor is required to provide that return-to-work consultant services an “as needed’’ basis, and are expected to include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Return to work strategies
• Create structured programs for early and safe return to work programs to facilitate the employees’ safe reintegration into the workplace.
2. Identification of suitable and available modified duties (i.e., job jar)
• Utilize functional information from health care providers to identify modified duties so the employer can keep injured workers connected and offer safe and early return to work programs.
3. Injury management
• Develop and deploy injury management workshops to establish an injury management system for a streamlined approach to identifying and supporting an injured worker.
• Conduct information and awareness sessions on injury management and reporting.
• Educate and equip managers and supervisors with the skills to manage injury cases effectively.
• This includes strategies to effectively mitigate barriers to return to work.
4. Implementation plan
• Collaboration with board to understand specific employer needs and challenges.
• Design tailored management strategies for each employer based on consultation and specific industry needs.
• Implement training and injury management programs with individual state employers.
• Continuously monitor the effectiveness of strategies and make necessary adjustments.
