The vendor is required to provide that school messenger system with capabilities to send messages via phone, SMS, and email.
- Ability to send messages based on recipient attributes that are updated automatically through the integration.
- Include, but may not be limited to:
• School
• Grade
• Enrollment calendar
• Contact type - student, parent, guardian, staff
• Bus route - morning and afternoon
• Emergency contacts
- Able to build own lists with contact information not included in infinite campus for individuals outside of the organization
- Able to build newsletters that can be sent through the notification system
- Translates into multiple languages, in speech to text, emails, newsletters, SMS
- System has different message types (customizable preferred) that, when selected, determine which recipient types (e.g., guardian, parent, emergency contact, student, staff) will receive the message; current examples include:
• General
• General with student
• Food service
• Attendance
• Non-school hours emergency with student
• Non-school hours emergency
• School hours emergency
- One clicks messages for inclement weather - easy to send
- Technology requirements:
• Student data privacy agreement will be required before the software can be used.
• Technical requirements will be reviewed via the district’s software acquisition process.
