RFP Description

The Vendor is required to provide service to existing cameras and servers, provide updates for hardware and to provide design, installation and maintenance of new products when needed for use across campus.
- The video surveillance system for real time viewing of live events and for post-event forensic analysis and applications.
- This will be achieved with both fixed and Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) cameras.
- The digital recording solution shall operate with both real-time and time- lapse capabilities, as well as being capable of both recording and viewing all IP and analog cameras simultaneously.
- The ability to control multiple cameras from multiple locations and the ability to view multiple cameras from multiple locations simultaneously is also required. 
- Personnel must have the option to view from remote (off-site) locations.
- Images exported from the surveillance system must be water-marked in order to verify authenticity for evidentiary purposes according to the State
- The video management system must provide a web interface option.
- Video management will be open architecture from end to end to allow future expandability and integration with other systems.
- Campus network details include:
• Each building on campus is a unique layer3 IP network. 
• The proposed solution must allow IP cameras and encoders to be in, and communicate across, different IP networks.
• Most campus connections are 1000 base-t. 
• Off campus sites range in data speed under 10base-t
• Wiring for all locations will be provided via other university contractors.
• All IP cameras and devices will be connected to Ethernet connections via category 6 or multi- mode/single mode fiber optic cabling.
• Cameras and camera system equipment shall provide security features that would allow the unit to be directly connected to the Internet and accessible remotely from off-site locations
• The campus network will provide sufficient bandwidth to allow server and camera placement anywhere on the campus network without congestion or packet loss.
