The vendor is required to provide for city-wide shredding services.
- The contractor shall be responsible for providing the city with confidential document shredding services.
- Individual departments and divisions located at various locations within the city will be ordering shred bins and scheduling regular service according to department and division needs.
- Records submitted to the contractor for destruction may contain information which is confidential and will, therefore, be subject to all federal, state, and county codes regarding the protection of an individual’s right to privacy.
- The contractor shall be required to take whatever measures are necessary to ensure protection.
- A certificate of destruction signed by the contractor shall be furnished with each service.
- The contractor shall notify the scheduled locations twenty-four hours prior to scheduled service dates if the scheduled service date and times cannot be met.
