RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide from service providers to provide signage and logo update services on an on-call, as-needed basis under an open-ended general service agreement.
- Perform an existing signage audit to determine necessary components, materials, methods for appropriate signage updates.
- Design simple shop drawings with all key dimensions, colors, finishes, etc. shown for review and approval by city staff.
- Removal of existing signage components as necessary and installation updated signage and logo elements onto the existing sign structures.
- Invoices and applications for payment
• City purchase order number;
• Dates and times of services performed;
• Location of the services performed;
• The name of the city representative who authorized each task assignment; and
• An itemized list of all services performed.
- Compensation methods.
1. Time and material (“T&M”) billing
• Hours for all service provider’s personnel who performed work during the pay period;
• Billable hourly rates for all personnel regular hours shall be the first eight (8) hours worked daily, Monday through Friday, except service provider’s observed holidays.
• Subcontractor costs during the pay period, if any, as evidenced by their bids and invoices;
• Itemization of material and equipment costs during the pay period as evidenced by the invoices for such items;
• The summation of the labor, material, and equipment costs incurred during the pay period
• Markup percentages from applicable for insurance, overhead and profit, and bonds if required, and the resulting total markups to be applied to the summation of the costs;
• Total price due for the pay period, which is the summation of the labor, material, and equipment costs plus the markups;
• Amount of retainage to be withheld by city, if applicable; and
• Any other information city deems necessary to substantiate the charges invoiced.
2. Unit price billing
• Description of the work items provided;
• Unit prices and units of measure unit prices for discrete elements of work multiplied by actual units of work provided; for the work items;
• Quantity of work provided based on the units of measure during the pay period;
• Extended price for each item during the pay period;
• Total price, which is the sum of extended prices, due for the pay period; and
• Amount of retainage to be withheld by city, if applicable.
3. Lump sum billing
• If a schedule of values was utilized in the lump sum quote or bid, an itemized list of the work activities performed for the task assignment based on the schedule of values;
• The lump sum prices associated with each activity on the schedule of values;
• The value earned for each activity during the pay period, which is the lump sum price for the activity multiplied by the percent complete, during the pay period;
• The total value earned, which is the sum of the value earned for each activity for the pay period; and
• Amount of retainage to be withheld by city, if applicable.
- Submission of invoices and applications for payment.
• Applications for payment shall be submitted directly to city project manager assigned to the specific task assignment.
• City reserves the right to request any additional backup information deemed necessary to substantiate the service provider’s (or it’s subcontractors’) invoiced costs prior to release of payment for the invoiced services.
- Scheduled work
1. I-25 overpass at 84th avenue
• Signage to be updated are on the stone pillars that are located on the overpass of 84th avenue as it crosses over i-25.
• There are a total of four (4) pillars each with two (2) stone panels with an engraved and painted cot logo.
• Contractor to remove and replace stone panels with engraved, painted updated cot logo.
• Color and finish to match existing stone panels
2. 84th avenue and i-25:
• signage to be updated is the logo only portion of the large monument-scale sign located on the east side of i-25, south of 84th avenue between the exit ramp and the edge of highway.
• There is a total of one (1) metal logo at this location.
• Contractor to remove and replace existing cot logo with updated cot logo to match existing color and finish.
3. State Street and 84th avenue:
• Signage to be updated is located on the northeast corner of state street and 84th avenue and Essex drive.
• Contractor to remove and replace both existing logo and city text.
• Color and materials are department.
• Contractor is also responsible to paint the existing sign panel and top blue trim panel to match existing city sign standards.
4. 88th avenue and Poze boulevard:
• Signage to be updated is on the brick pillars that are located on the northeast corner of Poze boulevard and 88th avenue.
• There is a total of one (1) stone panel with an engraved and painted cot logo and text city of city.
• Contractor to remove and replace stone panel with engraved, painted updated cot logo and text city of city.
• Color and finish to match existing stone panels
5. 88th avenue and Hoffman way:
• Signage to be updated is on the brick pillars that are located in the median of Hoffman way where it meets the north side of 88th avenue.
• There is a total of one (1) stone panel with an engraved and painted cot logo and text city.
• Contractor to remove and replace stone panel with engraved, painted updated cot logo and text city of city.
• Color and finish to match existing stone panels.
6. 88th avenue and street:
• Signage to be updated is on the brick pillars that are located on the northwest corner of York Street and 88th avenue.
• There is a total of one (1) stone panel with an engraved and painted cot logo and text city.
• Contractor to remove and replace stone panel with engraved, painted updated cot logo and text city.
• Color and finish to match existing stone panels
7. 120th avenue west of York Street:
• Signage to be updated is located on the south side of 120th avenue just east of the light rail overpass.
• Contractor to remove and replace existing logo only.
• Color and materials are to match existing and may require wiring for built-in lighting. contractor will also audit the other existing signage text to ensure good working condition.
• Repair or replace as needed.
• Contractor to paint top blue trim piece to match existing city sign standards.
8. 128th avenue and i-25:
• Signage to be updated is the logo only portion of the large monument-scale sign located east of i-25 by approximately 500’ on the south side of 128th avenue.
• There is a total of one (1) metal logo at this location.
• Contractor to remove and replace existing cot logo with updated cot logo to match existing color and finish.
9. I-25 overpass at 136th avenue:
• Signage to be updated are on the stone pillars that are located on the east side of the overpass of 136th avenue as it crosses over i-25.
• There are a total of two (2) pillars each with one (1) stone panel with an engraved and painted cot logo.
• Contractor to remove and replace stone panels with engraved, painted updated cot logo.
• Color and finish to match existing stone panels.
10. 136th avenue and i-25:
• Signage to be updated is the logo only portion of the large monument-scale sign located east of i-25 by approximately 500’ in the median of 136th avenue.
• There is a total of 1 (1) metal logo at this location.
• Contractor to remove and replace existing cot logo with updated cot logo to match existing color and finish
11. Big dry creek and i-25:
• Signage to be updated is the logo only portion of the large monument-scale sign located east of i-25 by approximately 50’ just north of big dry creek and adjacent to the regional trail.
• There is a total of one (1) metal logo at this location.
• Contractor to remove and replace existing cot logo with updated cot logo to match existing color and finish.
12. I-25 overpass at 144th avenue:
• Signage to be updated are on the stone pillars that are located on the east side of the overpass of 144th avenue as it crosses over i-25.
• There are a total of two (2) pillars each with one (1) stone panel with an engraved and painted cot logo.
• Contractor to remove and replace stone panels with engraved, painted updated cot logo.
• Color and finish to match existing stone panels.
13. 144th avenue and i-25:
• Signage to be updated is the logo only portion of the large monument-scale sign located east of i-25 by approximately 500’ in the median of 144th avenue.
• There is a total of one (1) metal logo at this location.
• Contractor to remove and replace existing cot logo with updated cot logo to match existing color and finish.
14. highway 7 and i-25:
• Signage to be updated is located east of i-25 by approximately 700’ and on the southside of HWY 7. contractor to remove and replace existing logos only.
• There are a total of three (3) logos on this sign.
• Color and materials are to match existing and may require wiring for built-in lighting.
• Contractor will also audit the other existing signage text to ensure good working condition.
• Repair or replace as needed.
15. Trail winds recreation center, 13495 holly St.:
• Signage to be updated is the single logo located on the building only.
• Logo being replaced will be the same size as the one being removed.
• New logo will be in color
16. Active adult center, 11181 state Blvd.:
• Signage to be updated includes both logos south and north facing located on the building.
• Logos being replaced will be the same size as ones being removed and will match existing color.
17. City civic center: 9500 civic center drive:
• Signage to be updated is the logo located on the building in the same size and color.
