The Vendor is required to provide special medical waste disposal services to pick up and fully dispose of special medical/infectious waste.
- Vendor must have the mechanical lifting devices (i.e., forklifts, vehicle with operable hydraulic lift gate, etc.) necessary for loading all waste containers.
- Contractor must be able and technically qualified to ship all packaged wastes in an on-call status minimally twice per week on a regular routine schedule.
- The University has an environmental management team that gathers the special medical waste from across campus into one location where the vendor will pick up the waste on a weekly basis.
