The Vendor is required to provide city energy with trainers for transmission and distribution technical safety training to deliver targeted safety training programs for distribution and transmission line workers.
- Energy estimated purchase expenditure for this contract is estimated to be no more than $75,000 annually.
- Provide 2-hour technical safety refresher breakout sessions held after safety meetings estimated to be approximately 200 candidates with class sizes ranging from 30 to 45 students, unless city energy and the contractor make other arrangements.
- Provide a 2–3-day (16-24 hour) safety-focused technical training classes estimated to be approximately 200 candidates with class sizes ranging from 12-15 students, unless city energy and the contractor make other arrangements.
- Training topics shall include but not necessarily be limited to:
• Effective Cover-Up
• Grounding and Bonding
• Rubber Gloving and Live Line Tools and Equipment
• Reclosures/ATO
• LOTO/Switching
• Troubleshooting Overhead and Underground Distribution Systems
• Job Briefings
• Regulators
• Capacitors
• Transformers
• Personal protective grounding in underground and overhead systems
• Protective Devices- lightning arrestors, cutouts/fusing, recloses, sectionalizes.
- Provide all necessary labor, tools, transportation, equipment, materials, handouts, and supplies to perform the services throughout the term of the contract.
- Provide the necessary tools, equipment, and materials for hands-on training involving our utility’s systems and equipment, the contractor is responsible for providing all instructor-related services includes:
• Instructor labor
• Classroom training tools
• Instructor transportation
• Instructor laptops and training equipment
• Training materials such as PowerPoint presentations, handouts, and supplies necessary for conducting the training.
- Provide classes that will be conducted in one of the two (2) formats below.
• Two (2) hour technical safety refresher breakout sessions held after the safety meetings
• Two-Three Day (16-24 hour) safety-focused technical training classes.
