The vendor is required to provide will offer a high quality, comprehensive document translation in the following languages (not limited to): Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese Chinese mandarin and other specified by county.
- Including human services, justice services, parks and conservation, development and
transportation, public health, library services.
- All work shall be performed in accordance with national translation standards and best practices in translation.
- The contractor should complete all work to the highest quality possible to the satisfaction of the county representative within the specified period of performance.
- Translations will be requested on an as needed basis by departments and offices.
- Translations should be provided with a reasonable turnaround timeline agreed upon with county and vendor, based on the volume and complexity of the material.
- The service provider should be able to provide on-demand document translation for emergency situations or public notifications, at times with less than 24-hour advance notice.
- This is not a frequent need; however immediate response ability is imperative.
- All pdf documents will be rendered in an accessible format.
- Translation: translating the content into the target language.
- It is critical that the translation be accurate, culturally appropriate, and consistent with the intended message.
