The Vendor is required to provide well log digitization service.
- Compare the paper logs to the file index spreadsheet (by county by box tab, or by box by county tab) to the paper files as needed.
- There may be some paper logs in the boxes that do not appear in the spreadsheet.
- All logs with a state well number (SWN) should be scanned.
- According to the spreadsheet, there are over 4,200 logs with state well numbers in 60 banker boxes, but there may be a few more logs in the boxes than appear in the spreadsheet.
- Scan every geophysical log with a state well number written on either the log header (Figure 2) or on a file folder containing the geophysical log (Figure 3).
- If there are letters in front of the SWN, you can ignore them, do not include them as part of the SWN.
- Scanned geophysical log files should be named with the federal information processing standards (FIPS) county code followed by an underscore and the state well number.
- Scan in grayscale (32 colors), unless:
• The log is in color, or
• There are notes on the log written in red.
- In those cases, scan in color.
