Safety Trend SaaS Platform

The Vendor is required to provide for aashtoware safety trends SaaS platform that connects to external databases to receive crash, vehicle and occupant data, roadway data, asset data, and as well as any other data supplied by the licensing agency, to power a number of purpose-built applications.
- Provide a detailed explanation of all Artificial Intelligence (AI), whether proprietary or publicly available, that may be used in the delivery of technology solutions and/or services.
- This explanation must include
•    The specific actions and outputs generated by the AI (decisions/output).
•    A description of what the AI functionality recommends, decides, documents, reports, or affects when deployed.
•    An overview of how the AI functionality is utilized within the solution.
•    Clarification on whether the AI functionality is optional or mandatory.
•    Information on the presence of Human-in-the-loop (HITL) involvement.
•    The types of data being utilized by the AI.
•    The classification and categorization of the data being used.
•    Details on the handling of data, including if it is being transferred outside of department, used to train an AI model, etc.
•    Measures taken to mitigate biases and hallucinations within the AI model.
•    An assessment of the reliability of the AI algorithms and models deployed.
•    Strategies for handling unexpected inputs and edge cases. 
- Provide a cloud-based SaaS platform that receives crash, vehicle and occupant data, roadway data, asset data, and as well as any other data supplied by department to power safety visualization applications that adheres to the roadway highway safety management process as defined in the highway safety manual (HSM).
- Present the ability for agencies to customize various configurations (countermeasure logic, Crash Modification Factor (CMF) values, and various calculations) to meet their unique needs.
- The user-friendly interface should be easy to learn and require minimal training for an average computer user to understand and operate.
- Provide map interfaces with typical map features such as zoom, pan, toggle layers on and off (such as satellite, roadway map overlay, etc.), customized how data is displayed (point view, heat map view, etc.).
- Run the software, maintenance and software support, including appropriate licenses, patches, upgrades and fixes, with all hosting and hosting related services, including facility, hardware, infrastructure, network management, system administration, backup and recovery, database management, security management and disaster recovery fail over as part of the SaaS service.
- Change management reporting that includes software output, milestone charts, and resource usage.
- Timeframes for resolution, responsible parties, and specific steps to be taken on issues or disputes arising during the implementation process, including approval and escalation procedures.
- Provide an outline of procedures to track and manage the project team’s progress regarding project tasks, deliverables, milestones and the management of risks.
- Provide an outline of procedures for release and deployment of system components, including how the release of future software upgrades and enhancements will be managed.
