Bus Tracking System

The Vendor is required to provide a real-time GPS bus tracking system and mobile application on a five (5) year contract term that allows users to track the exact location of buses, view live, second-by-second arrival times, and check route maps.
- It helps transit users reduce wait times by providing up-to-the-minute, accurate schedule information on their mobile devices.
- Proven track record implementing GPS based, real time transit tracking solutions for public transit agencies of similar size and complexity.
- Ability to provide second by second vehicle location updates, accurate arrival predictions, and high precision GPS data processing.
- Evidence of prior deployments within small to mid sized transit systems, particularly those operating loop based routes or centralized transfer hubs.
- View live bus locations on route maps
- Access up-to-the-minute arrival times
- Quickly receive and post service alerts, detours, and stop-level notifications
- Ability to deliver secure web-based dashboards for transit staff, including:
•    Live fleet monitoring
•    Historical route playback
•    Reporting tools (on-time performance, ridership metrics, system reliability)
- Expertise working with digital mapping platforms, GIS tools, and transit route geometry.
- Ability to provide comprehensive training for transit staff, administrators, and customer service teams.
- Managing full implementation lifecycles, including:
o    Hardware installation (GPS units, onboard equipment)
o    Software configuration
o    System testing and validation
- Data encryption, secure APIs, and authenticated user access.
