The Vendor is required to provide constructing sets of elevated steel walkway platforms in the bioenergy plant at the agency.
- Platforms aim to facilitate the safe movement of personnel carrying out maintenance and inspection on elevated points around the Oxidizer, Gasifier, and Electrostatic Precipitator, in the process area of the bioenergy plant.
- Submit fabrication drawings to the Engineer of Records (EOR) for review and approval before proceeding to fabrication of members.
- Connection Design Details: where the connection design provided in the engineering design by the EOR is insufficient for the fabrication and installation of the platforms, it becomes the responsibility of the fabricator to produce the connection design details to implement the design intent with the approval of the EOR.
- Apply coating as specified in the design drawings to match existing installations/platforms – where applicable, and touch-up coating/painting where required upon installation.
- Identify benchmark(s), column locations, prepare and install anchor rods, washers and other materials to be built into concrete sufficiently ahead of delivery of other fabricated steel components.
- Deliver all fabricated components to the Project Site, in a sequence which will permit the most economical performance of shop fabrication and erection.
- Prepare erection plan and schedule, and any equipment/tools required for hoisting, and installation stability, such as temporary bracings, etc.
- Attend pre-installation safety orientation meeting, conduct a pre-installation Project Site review to confirm existing condition, verify layout dimension, determine hoisting method, identify potential hazard, and most effective sequence of safe erection.
- Provide all temporary ladder/access stair, and install all support columns, beams, platforms, grating, handrails, and guardrails as per IFC drawings and other field modification requirement to existing ladder(s) and platform(s).
