The Vendor is required to provide the market on next generation Automated Fare Collection (“AFC”) solutions, delivery models, and commercial approaches.

- Objectives:
• Assess alternatives to the current presto fare collection model
• Validate market cost structures and pricing models while identifying opportunities to reduce agency fare collection costs
• Inform agency AFC approach over the next 15 years
• Understand complementary AFC systems that could be implemented fully or in part alongside other AFC systems as future procurement options
- Provide input across:
• Back Office AFC Systems, standalone and regional
• Field Equipment, including mobile validators, faregates, and fare vending machines
• Ongoing Operations & Service Delivery
- Customer Experience
• Ease of use

• Regional integration / interoperability.
