Animal Operations Management Software Solution

The Vendor is required to provide animal operations management software solution to support and streamline animal operations workflows, including animal ordering, animal and census tracking, protocol related activity, operational reporting, billing support, and related administrative processes.
• Configurable animal operations management system supporting animal tracking, census management, protocol related tracking, operational workflows, and reporting
• Implementation services, including configuration, setup, and deployment
• Data migration from existing systems, including validation and reconciliation
• Integration with university systems, including protocol and ethics system (arise), financial system (PeopleSoft), and authentication systems (SSO)
• Training and onboarding support for system users
• Onboarding support, maintenance, and system updates
- Operational processes are partially system driven but remain largely manual (human driven):
• Animal-related activities (e.g., breeding, transfers) are submitted and reviewed with limited system enforcement, requiring manual validation and decision making
• Operational staff interpret and execute requests, with system updates occurring afterwards or in parallel (where possible)
• Health monitoring and case management are tracked using a combination of system tools and manual (paper) processes, resulting in inconsistent workflows
• Data is distributed across multiple sources, requiring manual extraction and reconciliation for reporting, billing, and compliance.
