The Vendor is required to provide install new emergency pendant system for include:
- Supply of all required equipment to:
• Supply and installation of a new wireless phone and pendant integrated reliable design solution that enhance resident safety, improve staff communication, and streamline daily operations that support both resident care and staff efficiency at city.
- System design and integration with existing nurse call system:
• Wireless phone system shall be fully compatible and interoperable with the existing rauland nurse call system currently installed and operational at the facility.
• Integration shall interface directly with the nurse call server, support real-time call annunciation to wireless devices and maintain existing workflows and call priorities.
• The system shall use manufacturer-approved interfaces – rauland approved gateway and interface modules.
• No degradation of current nurse call functionality shall occur.
- Wireless communication infrastructure as required:
• Hands-free and handset operation
• Push notifications for resident calls, emergency alerts (e.g., code blue, pull cord activation), and system alarms.
• Two-way voice communication
• Call acknowledgment and escalation functionality, long battery life (minimum 8–12 hours active use), and rugged, healthcare grade design.
• Integration with: nurse call events; staff assignment or zoning (if configured); charging stations and spare batteries included.
• System shall operate on a secure wireless platform
• Full coverage throughout: resident rooms, common areas, corridors, service spaces
• Conduct a site wireless coverage survey; provide access points and base stations as required
• System shall ensure minimal latency; no dead zones; redundancy for critical coverage areas
• System functionality
• The integrated system shall support routine calls to assigned staff and escalation if unanswered, emergency calls, code calls (if applicable) and event log.
- Wireless resident pendants:
• Lightweight, ergonomic design (lanyard or wristband)
• Single-button emergency activation
• Water-resistant (minimum ip65 recommended)
• Wireless transmission to nurse call system
• Distinct alarm identification (e.g., room/resident id)
• Minimum battery life of 12 months or rechargeable equivalent.
