The Vendor is required to provide of all material, labor, equipment, services and training necessary to furnish and install a fully integrated on-line, real-time, camera-based level count automated parking guidance system (APGS) functioning in the manner.
• The structure has a two-way, half-helix at the southwest corner connecting all levels.
• The roof level of the structure is completely sky-exposed.
• The APGS will count the facility by level, based on the number of vehicles entering and exiting through the access points and moving between levels on the ramps.
• The structure has limited circuit availability on 120v panels, but substantial circuit availability on 480v panels.
• Perform an electrical survey and provide necessary electrical power for the APGS signs.
• Head-end equipment and secondary switch locations may use existing ac power.
• All Ethernet switches required for system use.
• Provide electrical design documents suitable for obtaining permits.
• Obtain permits for the system.
• An allowance of $5,000 is provided as shown in the price proposal form.
• The owner will provide internet access and dark fiber between switch locations.
• The owner will provide a limited space in the existing 18u rack in the telecommunications room.
• References in this section to “contractor” include the prime contractor and any subcontractor performing work related to the APGS.
- System design characteristics
• Monitor and communicate parking availability as described herein.
• Utilize overhead sensors for monitoring occupancy and space availability of the parking facility.
• Allowable overhead sensor types include only camera-based sensors.
• Display real-time parking availability for each level as the number of spaces available, “open”, “full”, or “CLSD” via VMS at the three entrances to the garage.
• System intelligence and central control to facilitate management of spaces, real-time reporting and information capabilities to provide occupancy and availability by entire facility and by level.
• Open APIs for dissemination to third-party websites and applications.
• Such API’s must be open, documented and non-proprietary using industry-standard approaches such as JSON, xml or rest.
• Data access via the API is to be available to owner at no additional charge.
• The APGS application software is to provide API-based data export to the owner’s mobile application known as the “application” and to owner’s website.
• All necessary APGS software and hardware required to support and process detection and counting data from camera sensors and provide real-time APGS information to signage and to other applications listed herein.
• Local and cloud-based computer servers with related data storage to provide data reporting, data analytics, historical data storage, user and administrator interfaces, system configuration, and system maintenance.
• APGS is to operate seamlessly as a complete system.
• All equipment components are to function in coordination with other components.
• APGS component installation with the geometric circumstances of the specific location where they are installed, i.e. Garage clearance, entry and exit portal and ramp widths, line of sight, etc.
- Future system expansion
• APGS that is readily expandable and upgradeable to accommodate additional parking facilities, nested parking areas, features and configurations.
• Installed APGS capable of expansions and enhancements listed below:
o Add additional sensors, individual space sensors, indicator lights, or VMSs.
o Add additional parking facilities.
o Interface with additional third-party systems and external websites that are not already called.
