The Vendor is required to provide point-of-sale (POS) solution to support retail operations across multiple campus locations, including campus stores and online sales channels.
- Core point-of-sale functionality
• Inventory management, including barcode scanning, tracking, and reporting
• Storage and management of serialized inventory (serial numbers)
• Automated inventory replenishment based on configurable thresholds
• Touch-screen POS devices
• Mobile POS functionality across campus locations
• Integration with the banner ERP system
• Integration with student and employee id systems
• Include a training (sandbox) mode
• Include barcode scanning and management capabilities
• Digital receipt delivery
• Receipt lookup and transaction history retrieval
• Returns, refunds, and exchanges with configurable policies
• Support fast and secure login methods
• Support split-tender transactions
• Support multiple payment methods
• Processing of financial aid and departmental accounts
- Compliance requirements
• Provide full ownership, support, and maintenance of all software components, including updates, patches, upgrades, and technical support services.
• All hardware required for the complete and uninterrupted operation of the proposed POS system.
• The solution shall be hosted in a secure, reliable, and redundant cloud-based environment that ensures high availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
• Point-to-point encryption (p2pe) and tokenization and shall maintain full compliance with current payment card industry data security standards (PCI-DSS).
• Multi-store and multi-location operations within a single, unified platform.
• Comply with all applicable federal and state regulations, including FERPA.
• The POS solution shall support electronic signature capture for all applicable transactions via integrated pin pad or equivalent secure devices.
