Environmental Management System Consultant

The Vendor is required to provide environmental management system (EMS), and any future iteration of this standard.
- Requirement:
• Review, assess, and provide guidance regarding the effectiveness and improvement of EMS component documents.
• Review, assess, and provide guidance regarding EMS component activities and actions for increasing effectiveness and conformance to the standard.
• Consultation on broad EMS best management practices and creative problem solving.
• Consultation on the intersection of EMS and sustainability.
• Author critical EMS documents.
• Audit the city’s EMS processes and components.
• Act as an agent of department to perform internal auditing.
• Train groups and work units about environmental management systems, the ISO 14001 standard, and key components of their engagement in the city’s EMS.
• Create on-line training modules about the city’s EMS for city employees that may be posted to the city’s workday learning platform and shared with independent agencies on other learning management platforms.
• Present information about environmental management systems to the city’s EMS, on behalf of department to the city executives and its top leaders.
• Conduct workshops to address engagement and commitment processes at the leadership level.
• Train city personnel to become internal auditors or lead internal auditors.
