Provide a complete Autonomous Quadrupedal Research Platform to support advanced robotics, mobility, autonomy, and applied engineering research; platform will serve as a reconfigurable, sensor-equipped mobile robotics testbed capable of operating in laboratory, indoor, and outdoor field environments.
- The quadrupedal robot platform shall meet the following minimum requirements:
1. A four-legged, agile mobile robot configuration providing at least twelve degrees of freedom for dynamic locomotion.
2. Adjustable walking and standing clearance to accommodate varied terrain and obstacle conditions.
3. Physical dimensions, weight, and payload limits consistent with research mobility, including the ability to carry integrated and expansion payloads.
4. Mobility performance thresholds supporting traversal of uneven terrain, inclines, stairs, and confined spaces.
5. Dynamic stability features, including recovery from slips on slippery surfaces and controlled, safe-sitting routines.
6. Ingress protection and environmental tolerances suitable for operation in both indoor laboratory settings and outdoor field conditions, including exposure to dust and moisture.
