The vendor is required to provide communication access as required by the americans with disabilities act for participants who are deaf or deafblind; identified services include american sign language (ASL) protractile and voice interpretation services.

- person-to-person interpretation (PPI) interpreters who have experience in varying visual and tactile communication preferences and levels of language proficiency must be available as needed.
- Protactile interpreters who have experience in protactile must be available as needed.
- the awarded company must meet with agency deafblind outreach project manager, at least 2 weeks prior to the event. discussion to include:
• Discuss needs of individual deafblind clients, review handout information, and discuss set up for interpreters at the hotel.
• Vendor must provide the names and certification levels of assigned interpreters and be able to assure a back-up plan for interpreters holding advanced interpreter certification as required.
• Provide plan for service replacement in event of provider(s) illness, no-show, and last-minute changes and additions.
- All interpreters must abide by a code of ethics, wear professional attire, and conduct themselves in a professional manner in social settings as well as in sessions.
