Simultaneous Interpretation and Consecutive Interpretation Services

The vendor is required to provide simultaneous interpretation and consecutive interpretation services in French or english and other languages for in-person, virtual and hybrid events.
- Simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for in-person, remote and hybrid events such as but not limited to: case-management conferences, hearings, pre-hearing conferences, special events and more, hereinafter referred to as events, in english and in French and other language held by tribunals supported by country on an as and when needed basis.
- Simultaneous interpretation is when an interpreter translates the message from the source language speaker to the target language recipients in real-time.
- Consecutive interpretation is when an interpreter listens to what the speaker is saying and convey the message into another language after the speaker has paused.
- Provide in-person, remote and simultaneous and consecutive interpretation services, on an as and when needed basis, in english and in French and possibly other languages.
- Provide at least one of the following services according to the following two categories:
•    In-person simultaneous and consecutive interpretation
•    Remote simultaneous interpretation and consecutive interpretation
1. In-person
•    The interpreter(s) must interpret what is being said simultaneously or consecutively utilizing simultaneous interpretation systems or pa systems provided by the agency or other venues in the NCR or from another location in county. 
•    The interpreter(s) must arrive to the event location a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the start time to ensure that any technical difficulties are resolved prior to the start of the event. 
•    The interpreter(s) must be proficient with most common interpretation systems and equipment.
2. Remote
•    The interpreter(s) must interpret what is being said simultaneously or consecutively utilizing simultaneous interpretation or standard functionalities integrated in videoconference platforms such as MS teams, zoom and WebEx.
•    The interpreter(s) must be proficient in the various virtual videoconference platforms such as MS teams, zoom and WebEx and any other platforms.
•    The interpreter(s) must be equipped with all the required equipment to perform all required services safely and effectively such as a laptop, a headset, an active compressor, a limiter, etc.) for virtual events. 
•    The interpreter(s) must be in a quiet room where confidentiality can be guaranteed, such as enclosed boardroom or office. 
•    Join events 30 minutes prior to start time to ensure that any technical difficulties are resolved prior to the start of the event.
•    The interpreter(s) must be equipped with all the required equipment to perform all required services safely and effectively such as a laptop, a headset, an active compressor, a limiter, etc.) for virtual events.
•    Agrees to strongly recommend to all event speakers and presenters to wear a proper headset with integrated microphone.
•    The interpreter(s) must have a strong and reliable internet connection to be able to complete the interpretation without lagging and connectivity issues.
