The Vendor is required to provide website redesign, website updates, maintenance, and analytics.
- Phase 1: Design and development
• Complete website information architecture and improved user experience design of the department website that is informed and accessible.
• Brand and visual identity integration, and custom visual design.
• Produce a style guide for department homepage and all core website landing pages to ensure consistency in terminology and visual design across department websites to sustain positive user experiences.
• Produce a style guide for aesthetic story maps.
• Hold three (3) discovery sessions with department staff to finalize both style guides.
• Conduct one (1) user feedback session/survey on current website layout and design to inform website redesign.
• Comply with industry and state standards for websites including those from council.
• Website security implementation.
• Provide site navigation/search engine optimization.
• Ensure responsive design for mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.
• Optimize cross-platform compatibility on all major desktop and mobile browsers.
• Cross-browser compatibility.
• Performance analytics integration.
• Develop a plan for maintenance of website with estimated cost for department staff only, contracted out, or with both department staff and a contactor having roles.
• Recommend frequency (monthly, weekly, other) for maintenance of website after launch.
- Phase 2: Content development
• Apply the style guide with content to create a custom department homepage that optimizes user experience with 3 mockups for review.
• Apply the style guide and redesign landing pages for up to 200 core webpages currently in use that optimize user experience with 1 mockup each for review.
• Apply the style guide and redesign landing pages for up to 10 new core webpages that optimize user experience including up to 3 mockups each for review by department website team.
• Apply the style guide and design story maps for up to 40 new core webpages that optimize user experience with one mockup each for review by department website team.
• Content, including photographs, videos, text, and figures for landing pages and story maps will be provided by department.
• Three professional quality videos, ranging from 1 to 2 minutes, will be produced by the vendor to optimize and improve the department homepage user experience with guidance from department website team.
• Cross-browser compatibility retesting.
• Host up to five (5) user feedback sessions for mockups.
- Phase 3: launch department website
• Fully functioning responsive website launched.
• Engagement of working analytics dashboard.
• Develop a written training manual and branding toolkit for department staff.
• Host at least one content management training session for department staff to support maintenance of websites and the creation of new content and webpages.
