The vendor is required to provide for a website designer to upgrade the look and feel of the current public website.
- The new website would have a modern design and layout with all appropriate navigation controls while Maintaining compliance with both ADA and CGAC laws and regulations.
- the website is to provide the public with general information and to post legally required content.
- The county intends to receive and evaluate proposals to develop a website in a cost-effective manner.
- Requirements
• The website should be compatible with all modern browsers and devices, including smart phones and tablets.
• The design should ensure the website is easy for the public to navigate.
• The website should include both english and Spanish languages either through a multilanguage plug-in (with the ability to override certain behaviors and phrases) or through dual-language base (with the ability to edit both languages in CMS).
• This includes both content such as paragraphs and navigation such as menu items.
• The website should include the following:
o Site search functionality.
o A collection of or a single aggregate legal page (that contains privacy, data protection, accessibility, TOS, disclaimers, cookies policies, and social media terms of use).
o Modern security based on SSL and associated technologies.
o Robust tracking and statistics module.
o Support for multiple domain names.
o CSS that is concise with ease of understanding and management.
o JavaScript (if applicable) that is concise with ease of understanding and management.
o Optional frameworks such as bootstrap or jQuery are allowed.
• The design shall be compliant with ADA and CGAC laws and regulations, and any other related applicable regulations.
• The design is prohibited from using chatbots, which are in direct violation of the county policy.
• The design does not need to support posts but will need to support iframes (described below). iframes will be used to host specific workflows that need to store the data securely, post forms, send emails, export data, or host dynamic content.
• The design will need to support linking to external resources such as documents, pdfs, images located both on the same server as the website (as a relative path), and our azure gov cloud tenant (as a fully qualified domain name/path).
• The preferred implementation is a standalone html, CSS, JavaScript solution.
• Platform dependent solutions such as WordPress, WIX, and Squarespace are acceptable, but less preferred.
