The vendor is required to provide website to redesign, develop, and modernize its official website to improve usability, accessibility, content management, and public engagement.
a. Project management and discovery
• Conduct a kickoff meeting with city staff to confirm project goals, deliverables, and schedule.
• Review the current website’s structure, design, content, and functionality.
• Develop a comprehensive project timeline and communications plan.
b. Content strategy and information architecture
• Work with departments to audit existing content and recommend a strategy for restructuring or migrating content.
• Develop a streamlined sitemap and improved navigation.
• Propose layout templates for core content areas (e.g., services, departments, events, news, contact forms).
c. Website design
• Design a modern, visually appealing, and mobile-friendly website that aligns with the city’s identity and goals.
• Deliver mockups or wireframes for key pages for city approval prior to development.
• Ensure consistency in visual elements, typography, and layout.
d. Website development
• Build the site using a secure, scalable, and user-friendly content management system (cms).
• Implement features such as a searchable directory, event calendar, emergency alert banners, embedded videos, and dynamic news posts.
• Ensure integration with social media feeds, external platforms, and online forms.
e. Training and content migration
• Provide hands-on training for designated city staff to manage and update content.
• Support the migration of content from the current website, maintaining organization and accuracy.
f. Quality assurance and testing
• Conduct functionality and performance testing across common devices and browsers.
• Ensure all links, forms, and search features work as intended.
• Resolve any bugs or issues before launch.
g. Deployment and post-launch support
• Assist with soft and full launch planning and execution.
• Provide a post-launch support window (e.g., 30–60 days) for technical troubleshooting.
• Offer optional ongoing maintenance and hosting services, if applicable.
