The vendor is required to provide website hosting solution and content management system (CMS) for the redesign, development, and ongoing hosting and maintenance of the city.
1. Website hosting:
• Provide reliable hosting for the city of website with high uptime, scalability, and security.
• Ensure that the hosting solution supports the current and future traffic needs of the website.
• Provide robust data backup and disaster recovery options.
• Ensure compliance with government data privacy and security requirements and best practices.
2. Content management system (CMS):
• Provide a CMS that allows non-technical staff to easily create, update, and manage web content.
• Provide a CMS that allows for easy integration with third-party applications (e.g., meeting manager, calendars, and YouTube videos) and APIs (e.g., analytics, performance management, payment gateways, forms, and newsletters).
• Offer features for searching, accessibility, SEO optimization, and translation services.
• Provide training and ongoing support for website administrators and content editors.
3. Content migration and site set-up:
• Conduct a thorough analysis of the city’s existing website.
• Conduct a usability analysis with stakeholder interviews, content audit, etc.
• Provide recommendations to optimize navigation and structure of new website.
• Assist with the set-up and development of the city’s new website with emphasis on usability, responsiveness, navigation, accessibility, and branding to promote the city’s goals and messages.
• Assist with content migration (i.e., text, documents, media).
4. Maintenance and support:
• Provide reliable and timely ongoing technical support and maintenance services for all aspects of the website hosting and content management system.
• Regularly update software and CMS security patches.
• Ensure the CMS is optimized for mobile responsiveness, fast load times, and continual accessibility.
• Provide monitoring and troubleshooting support as needed.
