The vendor required to provide website rebuild services to design and code an html5 front-end solution that will communicate with a 3rd party API.
- The city desires an html5 UI design that meets WCAG accessibility compliance.
- Website should be designed for desktop use and does not need a mobile version.
- The design shall be contained within a single page, with all relevant controls and actions accessible from that page.
- We would like to see options for hosting on-premises vs vendor hosted solutions.
- The existing system operates as follows:
• Each gate is equipped with an I/O server switch housed within the gate control box.
• Upon detection of an approaching train, the switch updates a defined value that indicates the presence of the train at that specific station.
• The current solution monitors this gate signal and updates the user interface (UI) accordingly to display when a train is present at a specific stop.
• A visual indicator has been incorporated into the UI to allow operations personnel to quickly identify train locations and gate status at a glance.
• When a gate is triggered to open, the UI displays the presence of a bus at the specific gate along with the appropriate direction of travel.
