RFP Description

The Vendor is required to provide to completely redesign and rebuild Website.
- Aspires to:
o    Expand higher education opportunities for workers and aspiring scholars;
o    Promote civic engagement;
o    Prepare students for careers in public service and movements for social justice;
o    Educate the next generation of labor and community leaders and prepare them for leadership; and,
o    Help workers achieve greater economic security.
- To accomplish these ambitious goals, the School rests on four foundational pillars:
•    Labor Studies
•    Urban Studies
•    Workforce Education
•    Community Service
- The new website design should focus on a simple user experience, branding consistency, user journey integration and content strategy support to help agency increase enrollment.
- The current website size and traffic are as follows:
•    Average Monthly Users: 12,000
•    Overall website pages: ~540
•    Current CMS: WordPress
•    Current Hosting Platform: Agency
- This project is focused on modernizing design, improving usability, and strengthening marketing and recruitment outcomes, while preserving existing content, SEO equity, and institutional requirements.
- Core Objectives
•    Refresh the visual design to align with agency brand guidelines
•    Improve navigation, information architecture, and user experience for key audiences
•    Optimize the site for mobile, accessibility, performance, and search
•    Migrate and preserve existing content and SEO value
•    Deliver a stable, maintainable WordPress site with clear editorial workflows
- Platform & Technical Scope
•    CMS: WordPress (required)
•    Hosting & data: Country-based only
•    Integrations: CRM (Slate) and standard analytics
•    Accessibility: WCAG 2.1 AA compliance
•    Performance: Core Web Vitals optimization
•    SEO: Content migration, metadata optimization, and 301 redirects
•    Security & privacy: GDPR, CCPA, and standard higher-ed disclosure compliance
•    Source control: Git-based workflow
- Design & UX Scope
•    Redesigned navigation and information architecture
•    Audience-focused UX for prospective students, current students, faculty, and staff
•    Responsive design for desktop and mobile
•    Wireframes and high-fidelity designs for a defined set of core page types
•    Modern, accessible visual templates (not custom applications)
- Content Scope
•    Content audit and migration of existing materials
•    No large-scale net-new content creation required
•    SEO preservation and improvement during migration
•    Agency retains final approval over all migrated content
