The Vendor is required to provide a website or webpage for pre-sale of the rain barrels, management of sales, resident prequalification process, delivery to event site and adequate staffing for unloading and staging of rain barrels.
- Responsible for all resident communication prior to and during event.
- Requirement:
1. Website and webpage requirements
• Create an online rain barrel promotional, sales and distribution website and webpage designed specifically for the city area.
2. Website and webpage shall include and provide:
• Pre-sale of rain barrels including e-commerce purchasing ability to accept checks and credit cards.
• List rain barrel event date, time, pick-up location, cost, limit one (1) rain barrel per household and purchase deadline.
• Information on:
o How to buy, install and use a rain barrel (i.e. Rain barrel instructions).
o Rain barrel specs including dimensions, warranty information, capacity, etc.
o Benefits of a rain barrel
o Rain barrel frequently asked questions
• Include a video with a demonstration on ease of loading the rain barrel into a standard sedan and instructions for installation.
• Maintain webpage with current event information.
• Provide templates and photographs for agency to advertise and promote rain barrel sale event.
3. Vendor processing orders requirements
• Coordinate with agency to manage and verify city council district h resident eligibility to purchase a rain barrel.
• Provide e-commerce ability to receive and process credit card or check payments for a maximum of 123 rain barrels (fewer barrels may be distributed based on purchases made prior to the event).
• Secure resident information including name, address, telephone, and email.
4. Subsidy and resident payment
• Council district h will subsidize the final cost of the rain barrel down to $0 with a maximum event limit of 123 rain barrels.
• The resident will pay $0 per rain barrel.
• The total amount paid to the vendor by agency will be the amount per barrel times the number of barrels sold.
• Only city council district h residents are eligible for the rain barrel subsidy
• A maximum of one (1) rain barrel is permitted per household.
• Residents will register through vendor e-commerce website for their rain barrel.
• Remaining rain barrel balance will be paid to vendor by agency (the subsidy).
• The vendor will provide a final excel spreadsheet no later than one week after the event, listing all city council district h residents that received their rain barrel.
• Once agency reviews and approves the final excel spreadsheet, the vendor will be paid for services rendered.
