The Vendor is required to provide the tourism and destination marketing industry to re-design, develop, host and support a modern, user-centered tourism website that serves as a primary trip-planning resource for visitors and supports long-term destination marketing objectives to promote tourism in county.
- Requirement:
1. Open-source CMS implementation
• Deploy open-source content management system (“CMS”) that allows for flexible, independent content updates by internal staff.
• Elementor is the preferred CMS, however final decision will be made by office in consultation with the successful offeror at a later point in process.
• Include hub spot integration.
2. Content and migration
• ITI modules are currently used for all place listings and events on the website – it is office preference for these modules to be worked into the new pages.
• Incorporate image galleries on various pages through Crowdriff platform.
• Incorporate a booking widget akin to the one currently on office website.
• Perform a SEO audit of the existing website to determine automatic migration of existing repeatable content, including but not limited to blog posts and past events.
3. User centric navigation
• Implement intuitive site architecture, streamlined navigation, and accessible content pathways to enhance user engagement.
5. System integrations
• Seamlessly integrate with google analytics, customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, email marketing tools, and explore capabilities for future AI and voice search features.
6. SEO strategy and technical optimization
• Ensure technical SEO foundations are built-in, including schema markup, metadata management, fast load speeds, and mobile-first indexing.
7. Accessibility compliance
• Meet or exceed current standards to provide compliance with WCAG 2.2 A and AA standards.
8. Staff training
• Provide comprehensive training for office staff on content management solutions to independently maintain and update the website.
9. Ongoing performance monitoring
• Implement key performance indicators (KPI) tracking, SEO reporting, and site analytics to monitor performance and guide future optimizations.
10. Maintenance, hosting and support
• Post-launch support, off-site hosting and ongoing development and search engine optimization are required.
