The Vendor is required to provide website support for assistance with producing content, developing story ideas, writing stories and managing a news website known as the water news network (WNN) at for the authority.
- Authority shall retain all rights to copyright in the website's content.
- All original files including, but not limited to WordPress files, JPGS, pdf, html, graphics, etc. shall be tendered to, and be the property of, the authority.
- Website management and production
• Develop new editorial content for WNN on an ongoing basis, working with authority staff and contractors to ensure timely content delivery.
• Edit submitted content for AP style, grammar, and clarity.
• Manage homepage content placement and daily homepage updates, including headline writing, story and photo selection and rotation to maximize audience engagement.
• Generate content ideas.
• Attend monthly story planning meetings with authority representatives, along with phone and email correspondence as needed.
• Produce story posts that include videos and photos gathered from the field (in consultation with the contract manager).
• Maintain an editorial calendar to ensure consistent written, visual and graphic content production.
• Follow the content management protocol and content guidelines to ensure review and approval of content prior to posting on WNN.
• Incorporate current best practices in content journalism, search optimization, and audience development to maximize information delivery to WNN target audiences, as identified by the authority.
- Extended services
• Authority may request contractor to perform extended services such as provide presentations and training to authority staff, member agency staff, and write and submit contest entries.
• Receiving a request for extended services from the authority, contract shall provide the authority contract manager with a written task estimate to complete the work.
• Extended service task costs shall be based on a contracted hourly rate.
• The estimate shall include a breakdown of hourly rates by classification and include any other costs required to complete the work.
• Extended services shall be authorized in advance through written notification from the authority.
• No work shall proceed without written authorization from the authority.
