The Vendor is required to provide a comprehensive redesign of the County’s main public website.
- The main website currently has approximately 3,000 active webpages, 10,000 documents and images, and dozens of webforms; it receives nearly one-million page views per month.
- The main website is managed by County Central IT, but the ability to create pages and change content has been delegated to publishers serving the many offices, courts, and departments of the County.
- Since that time the main website has evolved without a well-defined information architecture, without consistent guidelines for creating and maintaining content, and without a robust, county-wide governance model.
- The main website has also never benefited from any significant redesign effort to correct these issues or modernize based on new technologies, best practices, and evolving customer expectations.
- Evaluate and document:
• Current state of main website
• County needs and goals
• Gaps in defined scope
- Document and propose:
• Future state design for main website, including governance and ADA compliance
• Implementation plan and methodology for future state design and identified gaps
- Implement comprehensive redesign for main website with County assistance
- Assist with implementation of an effective content supply chain (governance) model for managing and maintaining the main website
- Assist with work required for the main site to be ADA compliant (including best practices for accessibility) and remain compliant as content is added and modified.
