The Vendor is required to provide website template development services for include:
- Develop a website template that produces school websites that are responsive and mobile friendly, ensuring optimal viewing on desktops, tablets, and smartphones ensure compatibility with major web browsers (e.g., chrome, Firefox, safari, edge) and devices (desktop, tablet, mobile).
- Implement core features, including:
• Home page with placeholders for district news and announcements.
• Standardized navigation across all of the pages
• Ability to create pages for academic programs, faculty and staff directory, events calendar, contact information.
- Integration with third-party tools as specified by county (e.g., calendar APIs, social media feeds).
• The template to be customizable for individual schools while maintaining district- wide branding e.g., change color scheme, allow for use of school specific mascots, logos, etc.
• Enable integration with county existing systems (e.g., student information system (sis), learning management system (LMS)) as specified.
- Administrative management interfaces
1. Develop a district administration management interface to:
• Manage district-wide content (e.g., policies, announcements, emergency alerts).
• Control access to the website and school administration management interfaces, including enabling, disabling, or restricting specific sections or functionalities.
• Manage user accounts and permissions for both district and school administrators.
• Generate usage reports and analytics for website activity.
2. Develop a school administration management interface to:
• Manage school-specific content (e.g., teacher profile page, school events page, etc.).
• Update content within designated sections without affecting district-wide elements.
• Provide a user-friendly content management system (CMS) with role-based access control.
- Hosting and isolation
• Shall be able to host all school websites in their data center, ensuring high availability (99.9% uptime), performance, and security.
• Provide a namespace to utilize county DNS name for the website.
• Assign a sole source public IP address to ensure the website template is completely isolated from the vendor’s other business operations and clients.
- Technical requirements
• Ensure the website template produces school websites that are fully responsive and mobile friendly, providing optimal user experience across desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
• Comply with county web design guidelines.
• Include a multi-language translator tool (e.g., google translator)
• Implement robust security measures, including data encryption, secure authentication, and regular security audits, to protect student and staff data in compliance with FERPA, section 508, and COPPA (if applicable).
• Optimize the website for performance, ensuring fast load times and scalability to handle high traffic.
• Ensure the CMS allows for easy content management and updates by both district and school administrators, with minimal technical expertise required.
• Solution must disclose the use of any data tracking or collection tools, including but not limited to pixels, session replay technology, analytics tools, etc.
