Website Redesign and ADA Compliance Services

The Vendor is required to provide web design and development firm to redesign the county's existing website and ensure full compliance with current ADA accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 aa or higher).
- Objectives
•    Improve usability, navigation, and overall user experience
•    Meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
•    Present a modern, visually appealing design aligned with county branding
•    Improve content organization and search ability
•    Support mobile-first responsiveness
•    Integrate with existing systems and online services as needed
•    Provide an easy-to-use content management system (CMS) for county staff.
- Requirement:
1. Discovery and planning
•    Review current website structure, analytics, and content
•    Conduct stakeholder interviews (if needed)
•    Develop a site map and content strategy
•    Provide a project timeline and communication plan
2. Website design
•    Create wireframes and mockups for key pages
•    Develop a modern, intuitive, and responsive design
•    Ensure branding consistency
•    Provide design iterations based on county feedback
3. Website development
•    Build the site using a secure, scalable CMS
•    Implement ADA-compliant features and code
•    Optimize for speed, SEO, and mobile performance
•    Integrate third-party tools or APIs as needed
•    Migrate existing content and assist with content creation
•    Migrate DNS records to a third-party DNS provider.
•    Integrate social media feed (Facebook) and potentially adding other social media links, i.e.
•    LinkedIn
4. Ada compliance
•    Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA
•    Conduct automated and manual accessibility testing
•    Provide an accessibility statement and guidance for ongoing compliance
•    Train staff on accessible content practices
5. Testing and quality assurance
•    Cross-browser and cross-device testing
•    Usability testing
•    Accessibility audits
•    Security review
6. Training and documentation
•    Provide CMS training for county staff
•    Documentation for site management and accessibility best practices
7. Launch and post-launch support
•    Assist with deployment and DNS updates
•    Provide 30-90 days of post-launch support
•    Offer optional ongoing maintenance services.
